Senior MEP Engineer

Over 5 Years of Experience in Construction / Building Services / Engineering / Electrical & Mechanical Installations
Ideal Candidate The Senior Installation Engineer – Installation Manager will coordinate and develop the design activity in the thermal, sanitary, and electrical domains for complex civil and industrial construction projects. They will provide technical support in all project phases (from concept to execution), participate in technical and coordination meetings, supervise and review the work of subordinate design engineers, and report directly to the Director of the Installations Department.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in designing thermal, sanitary, and/or electrical installations.
  • Completed higher education in Building Services (Faculty of Installations – UTCB or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in civil and industrial building projects (schools, hospitals, residential buildings, warehouses, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of Romanian and European technical standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MagiCAD, Revit MEP, InstalSoft, Dialux, Caneco, or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of project management and technical communication skills.
  • Intermediate/advanced technical English skills.
  • Multidisciplinary coordination skills and experience managing a project team.
  • Technical analysis, planning, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Availability to attend technical meetings and site visits.

Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Technical coordination and development of solutions for thermal, electrical, and sanitary installation projects for civil and industrial buildings (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, residential buildings, warehouses, stadiums, etc.).
  • Reviewing technical documentation: DTAC, PT, DDE, technical reports, quantity lists, and execution plans.
  • Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate installation solutions coherently into the overall project.
  • Participating in internal and external technical meetings (with clients, contractors, verifiers, builders, etc.).
  • Reviewing documentation produced by the design team and ensuring technical quality and compliance.
  • Analyzing client requirements and translating them into feasible, energy-efficient technical solutions.
  • Providing technical support during execution: clarifications, on-site adaptations, and correct interpretation of drawings.
  • Monitoring and implementing quality standards and applicable technical regulations (I7, I9, I5, P118, PE107, NP015, etc.).
  • Preparing calculation notes, reviewing dimensioning, and approving subordinate projects.
  • Coordinating the technical team, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
  • Constantly reporting project status to the Director of the Installations Department.
